Zoopark visitors – an organization supporting disabled children

On 27th of June, Zoopark, located in Mega, was visited by VšĮ Socactiva, which supports disabled children and teenagers. The organization, whose mission is to facilitate and diversify the lives of people with disabilities, spent several hours in Zoopark – fed the colourful lorikeets, pet little goats, listened to stories about each animal and asked various questions. According to representatives of the organization, the opportunity to feed and to touch animals is very valuable, it helps people with disabilities to understand the world better. The guests were also pleased with Zoopark employees: “The ability of employees to adapt a story to completely different levels of perception at the same time is fascinating. People not only do their job, they also love it!”

Aleksandras Gavrilovas, director of VšĮ Zoopark.lt, managing the educational space in Kaunas Mega, has repeatedly stated that Zoopark – a socially responsible project aimed at providing as many good emotions as possible, teaching love and care for the weaker, expanding the boundaries of experience for children, the disabled and the seniors.
